Has anyone had any experience with the Raging Inferno and/or the Inferno Ultralight, which are made by Quest Advanced Technologies? I picked up both recently, and I've been underwhelmed with the former (seems like just another distance driver to me, made of plastic that seems more rubbery and ultimately less robust than Innova Star or Pro plastic) and extraordinarily pleased with the latter. At 133 grams, you'd think the Ultralight would be way understable and be rather insubstantial for distance runs, but I'm telling you, you can turn it over if you really try, but it's very, very stable and flickable.
And while I'm on here, let me say that the Innova Kite is one awesome disc. I just got one and I'm using it a great deal. If you've got to go in a straight line for a fairly long way, it's a great disc to have in your bag. I'm now throwing it on a lot of shots I used to use the Stingray on, and I'm getting much better reach with it than I ever got with a Stingray. Just a fantastic midrange disc.
Finally, what's the real difference between a fairway driver and a distance driver? Seems like I had a Banshee that was marked as a distance driver at one time, but my new one is marked as a fairway driver. Is it just sheer distance vs. control? And if a person with a big arm throws both back to back, exactly the same, how many feet of difference are we really talking about on the end of the drive?

Patrick, I have thrown the Gateway stuff. I thought they threw great, but I didn't like the feel of the plastic. The fairway driver. If I throw a Banshee v's a Firebird which I feel are closely related. The Banshee being the fairway driver and the Firebird being the distance driver, I'll get about 30 more feet off the tee sometimes more with the Firebird. Their stability and control, I don't see much difference in on a long drive. If you don't have enough arm speed you'll see more of a difference in their flights as far as control is involved. - John

Does Innova sometimes re-badge something a fairway driver in later runs that started out as a distance driver? As the technology advances, it seems like that would make a certain kind of sense. I could almost SWEAR (though I cannot confirm, since it's lost forever) that the Banshee I used to have was marked as a distance driver.
