I don't know how many of you have ever played at Timmons Park in Greenville, but I really like it a lot. (Of course, I work in Clemson, so it's not nearly the haul from there as it is from Toccoa.)
I know gas is high and all, but if any of y'all ever wanted to go over there, I'd be up for it.

I agree with you ,Timmons is one of the funnest courses around. Most hole are reachable from the tee box and there are a lot of angles and not too much forest.

Never played Timmons before, but I played in Easley for the first time this past week. Hole #5 ate me alive. Every putt would hit the basket and roll back down the hill. I finished the hole with a big fat 8.

Patrick, if you work in Clemson why haven't I seen you out at Seneca or Easley doubles?

Patrick, if you work in Clemson why haven't I seen you out at Seneca or Easley doubles? Seneca Mon and Easely Wednes ~Sarah I've played both courses a number of times, Sarah. Played Seneca yesterday afternoon, in fact. Tight courses give me fits, though I'm trying to learn to love them. Seneca's a lot better than I remember it now that it's more walked in, and has received a lot more play. I have played in tournaments and doubles and such very few times, and competitive play just isn't my thing. I mean, I've met some wonderfully nice folks at every event, but I just don't have a competitive nature, even though I know doubles really aren't "serious competition" in the grand scheme of things. I like to loaf around on the course, and when Buck and I play, there are many rounds where we spend more time talking politics and philosophy and current events than actually throwing. I do hope to see you out at one of the aforementioned courses some time, though. Always good to put a face with a message board "handle."
